Cleaning For Health

High Touch Point Preventative Sanitizing

Maintaining the health and safety of your employees and customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, or any other epidemic, is an ongoing challenge. Preventative cleaning and sanitizing can help address these concerns.

High touch Points are areas touched by numerous people throughout the day. This frequent contact provides a transmission opportunity for viruses and bacteria. Examples of High Touch Points include door handles, light switches, elevator buttons, keypads, railings, copiers, microwave ovens, refrigerator door handles, and water coolers. The list is unique to each facility and can be quite long.

We work with you to define High Touch Point Preventative Sanitizing Program customized for your facility. We will discuss High Touch Points, Frequency, Chemicals, Chemical Application and Dwell Times, Traffic Patterns, and the potential need for Day Porter Service throughout the day.

  • Reduces the opportunity for transmission or cross-contamination
  • Focuses on high impact areas
  • Can be ad hoc or scheduled based on your needs

Electrostatic Disinfection Services

Electrostatic spray is electrically charged, allowing the appropriate sanitizers, mold preventatives, bactericides, and disinfectants to wrap around and evenly coat all types of surfaces for a more complete clean. As the chemical exits the electrostatic sprayer, it’s given a positive electrical charge. The droplets then become attracted to all negative surfaces, covering the visible area, underside, and backside, with the sanitizing agent. Surfaces that are already covered will repel the spray, making the method extremely efficient. Often used with biocides and disinfectants for food processing plants, restaurants, manufacturing lines, hospitals, schools, daycare, veterinary clinics, and businesses. Used to quickly remediate a known or suspected area of infection. Because this service aerosolizes EPA listed chemicals, an experienced technician using all necessary PPE should service areas devoid of personnel.

  • Reduces the time it takes to cover and sanitize all surfaces and hard-to-reach places by 50% compared to conventional methods
  • Improves infection control and the spread of viruses such as COVID-19, Influenza, MRSA, SARS, HIV, C. diff, and many others
  • Applies chemicals in a more efficient, controlled manner, eliminating the dangers of overuse
  • Prevents costly financial burdens associated with contagious healthcare infections

Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (“UVGI”) Services

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), superbugs like C. difficile (C. diff), Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) and others cause nearly 1.7 million illnesses in U.S. hospitals each year, adding an estimated $20 billion dollars in cost to treat. Moreover, ~99,000 deaths are attributed to healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) each year. UVGI, used after a consistent cleaning regimen, is a physical process that disrupts the DNA of harmful microorganisms and destroys their ability to reproduce—thereby reducing the spread of C. diff, MRSA, SARS, and many other pathogens.

  • Improves infection control and the spread of viruses such as COVID-19, Influenza, MRSA, SARS, HIV, C. diff, and many others
  • Reduces chemical usage in critical areas like negative pressure isolation or operating rooms
  • Reduces costly financial risk associated with HAI
  • Increases patient room turns when applied consistently

Carpet Cleaning

Periodically carpet cleaning is advisable to extend the carpet life and keep it looking great. Vanguard® franchisees can provide your facility with several carpet cleaning options.

  • Extraction: Hot water with cleaning solution is sprayed onto the carpets, agitated into the carpet fibers, and vacuumed out.
  • Shampoo: In buildings where it is not possible to avoid walking on the carpets for 5-6 hours, shampooing allows for quicker drying of the carpet than extraction.
  • Bonnet cleaning: This is an interim maintenance method that is often utilized for high traffic areas to keep the appearance clean in between more intensive cleanings.
  • Dry methods: Maybe best for carpets that are more prone to moisture damage or that have round-the-clock foot traffic.

Window Washing

sideimg-window-washing

Hard Surface Floor Care

Hard surface finished floors can be maintained through a scheduled maintenance program incorporating the following elements:

  • Strip and Refinishing: removal of all old floor finish (stripping), thorough cleaning and rinsing of the bare floor surface, and reapplication of several coats of new floor finish to protect the floor from damage and optimize appearance.
  • Scrub and Recoat: Periodic interim maintenance involving removal of the top layer of floor finish, thorough cleaning of the floor, and reapplication of finish. Performance of Scrub and Recoat jobs extends the useful life of the floor finish, saving money by reducing the frequency of more costly Strip and Refinish jobs. Also, Scrubbing and Recoating is the environmentally responsible alternative to Stripping and Refinishing, as it minimizes the need for harmful stripping chemicals.
  • Spray Buffing or High-Speed Burnishing: Restores shine to finished floors to keep them looking their best. Depending on the traffic and requirements of the facility, Buffing or Burnishing may be performed anywhere from quarterly (low traffic areas) to monthly (typical office building lobbies and hallways) or more frequently (hospitals, supermarkets, and other retail environments).
  • Ceramic Tile & Grout Cleaning: Mops just slide right over the top of the grout lines and fill each grout line with contaminated mop water. Our concentrated scrubbing with a dedicated grout-and-tile tool along with a blast of pressurized water to loosen soil and germs, and then lift it away with a vacuum tool provides exceptional results.
